For Publiek Park, CMMC created a new performance at the palmarium of the botanical garden and the Ghent University Museum (GUM). In the Palmarium, a bright and spacious greenhouse for palm trees in winter, CMMC attempt to write a novella each in three days. CMMC sit amidst mushrooms that were grown as a performative sculpture for the exhibition Bakermat, some ten kilometres away from Ghent. Transported to Publiek Park, these mushrooms are spread out alongside papier-maché models of the sexual organs of flowers, on loan from the collection of GUM, and funciton as the only source of sustainance for the performers during their writing process.
CMMC (°1989, NL/BE) performs self-invented cognitive constructions, always with a latent sense of humor. Their intensity is translated in very long performances (up to twenty-four hours), that have evolved over the seven years of their existence from working on quickly alternating emotions, text recitation and lengthly synchronized movements, to more stylized conceptual responses to the invitations they receive. The pieces often bring about an almost trance-like state in the performers.

In het Palmarium, een lichte en ruime serre voor palmbomen in de winter, proberen CMMC elk in drie dagen een novelle te schrijven. CMMC zitten te midden van paddenstoelen die werden gekweekt als performatieve sculptuur voor de tentoonstelling Bakermat, zo'n tien kilometer van Gent. Deze paddenstoelen, die naar het Publiekspark zijn getransporteerd, liggen verspreid naast papier-maché modellen van de geslachtsorganen van bloemen, geleend uit de collectie van de GUM, en fungeren als de enige voedselbron voor de performers tijdens hun schrijfproces.
